Today was exciting, not only because of the projects we continued with App Engine, but also because of the GOOGLE SELF DRIVING CAR!

In the morning, we started the day coding in App Engine. More projects today - much more learning. It is fascinating to be able to code applications from scratch (and have them actually work)!

One of the applications focused on creating a comments page that could render and post comments with timestamps and messages on a webpage (similar to how users on Facebook can comment on pages).

It turns out that there is life after CSSI - we learned this from a panel called "Life After CSSI."
In the panel, former CSSIers who now work at Google shared advice with us for success in CS and college. They focused on: study habits, visitations with TAs, taking advantage of office hours, working on independent CS projects, and tips for summer internship and job applications.

At dinner, there was a delicious strawberry pudding. Yay food at Google!

The regular eating place, Charlie's, was closed because Google was hosting a private party for Robotics Science and Systems .

Guess what we were surprised with as we were heading home for the day?!
It was the Google Self Driving Car!

Now I am at office hours with Quinn. We are improving our App Engine projects and planning how to rule the world with App Engine!
