JavaScript integrates animation to bring dynamic aspects to webpages.
In the morning, our coding session in JavaScript progressed quickly from the basic JavaScript commands: variables and assignments, calling functions, list and association arrays, loops, associative arrays...etc.. We combined JavaScript with the HTML and CSS and focused on coding for webpages with jQuery (selectors, functions, events).
With JavaScript and jQuery, our pages gained animation; the awesome began. One cool thing we learned was how to code buttons that, when the mouse cursor moves over, disappear or forever escape the cursor in a never ending game of cursor-button tag.
This is an example ( vid credit: Abril):
Overall, JavaScript seems useful for web (and app) development.
While on break for lunch, my friend Abril - another CSSIer - and I discovered the Google San Francisco Trolley Car!!! We were permitted to take a photo; we had some fun!
In the afternoon, we continued programming with JavaScript and participated in a presentation styled group activity. I found it interesting to learn more about each CSSIer from the activity. At dinner, I enjoyed the Google food and especially the Google desserts.
Check out these Google treats :)
